Hi there! I’m Matthew Sidler, a sex and relationship therapist licensed in New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, and Massachusetts. Despite being wired for connection, we often find ourselves "winging it" in relationships. Many of us didn't get the relationship blueprint we needed. This can often lead to a frustrating cycle filled with misunderstandings and loneliness. Sexual desire and fulfillment can easily suffer as a result. As an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and trained relationship therapist, I help clients gain the clarity and confidence needed to effectively navigate these obstacles.

I’ve journeyed from being a makeup artist to an elementary school teacher, and finally to a therapist. Each of these roles has given me a unique perspective on vulnerability and human connection. I’ve seen how outward appearance can shape self-worth, witnessed personal growth and development, and observed the pride that comes from building a strong sense of competence and self-identity.

My approach to therapy is highly collaborative, blending the Gottman Method with Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. When it comes to connection and sexuality, I strive to create space for diverse experiences and perspectives. My role isn’t to guide clients toward a specific outcome, but to walk alongside them, helping them gain clarity and confidence in living the life they truly want to lead.

While my practice is welcoming to all couples and individuals, I am particularly passionate about offering a safe and affirming space for those in the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of this community, I understand the importance of having supportive spaces to explore and navigate our unique experiences.

My Office

My office is designed to be a welcoming and comfortable space for both individuals and couples. Understanding that the mind and body are deeply interconnected, I place a strong emphasis on addressing both aspects. To ensure my clients feel fully cared for, I offer a variety of snacks and beverages to meet their physiological needs during our sessions.
