Hi there! I’m Matthew Sidler, a sex and relationship therapist licensed in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida. Despite being hardwired for connection, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, and other everyday obstacles tend to get in the way. Struggles related to sexual desire or performance are so often burdened by shame or embarrassment. As an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist and relationship therapist, I work with clients to foster greater comfort and openness around these important topics.

I’m a therapist with a unique background: from make-up artist to elementary school teacher, and now to therapist. Each of these roles has allowed me to witness vulnerability and connection from different perspectives. I’ve seen how outward appearance can influence self-worth, experienced the purity of childhood innocence, and observed the pride that comes with developing a sense of competency and self-identity.

My approach to therapy is highly collaborative, blending the Gottman Method with behavioral and attachment-informed therapies. When it comes to connection and sexuality, I strive to create space for diverse experiences and perspectives. My role isn’t to guide clients toward a specific outcome, but to walk alongside them, helping them gain clarity and confidence in living the life they truly want to lead.

While my practice is welcoming to all individuals and couples, I am particularly passionate about supporting clients in the LGBTQIA+ community. As a member of this community, I understand the importance of having affirming spaces to explore and navigate our unique experiences.

My Office

My office is designed to be a welcoming and comfortable space for both individuals and couples. Understanding that the mind and body are deeply interconnected, I place a strong emphasis on addressing both aspects. To ensure my clients feel fully cared for, I offer a variety of snacks and beverages to meet their physiological needs during our sessions.
